MET ANNOUNCES WEEK 69 SCHEDULE OF

Silicon Valley, CA -- On June 30, The Metropolitan Opera (The Met) announced to the press its lineup of operas for its 69th week of Nightly Met Opera Streams, the company's ongoing series of encore Live in HD presentations and classic telecasts streamed on its website during the Covid-l9 closure. The presentations include a week of Operas from the outstanding German Romantic Composer RICHARD STRAUSS (Munich, Germany, June 11 l864- September 8, l849 Garmisch-Partenkirchen) three of them new to the streaming series: The 1982 Der Rosenkavalier with Kiri Te Kanawa (See photo above) Tatiana Troyanos, Judith Blegen, and Luciano Pavarotti. The 2003 Ariadne auf Naxoswith Deborah Voight, Natalie Dessay, Susanne Mentzer, and Richard Margison, and Arabellawith Kiri Te Kanawa Marie McLaughin, and Wolfgang Brendel.
