The lecture "An Astrophysicist goes to the Movies,"is derived from the sets of thirty films from The Wizard of Oz, to Mary Poppins, Game of Thrones, Harry Potter to The Lion King' and some other classics, that you may not even know that had any science in them at all, is an entertaining and enlightening review of the science that our favorite movies got wrong, combined with some of the stuff that the movies got right. will be delivered in person by Dr. deGrasse Tyson, host of National Geographic Channel "Star talk" and bestselling author and the Director of New York's Hayden Planetarium.

Short Notes About NEIL deGRASSE TYSON
He was born and raised in New York City where he was educated in the public schools clear through his graduation from the Bronx High School of Science. Tyson went on to earn his BA in Physics from Harvard and his PhD in Astrophysics from Columbia.
Among his many accomplishments are: in 2001, he was appointed by President Bush to serve on a twelve-member commission that studied the Future of the U.S. Aerospace Industry in which he recommended to Congress and the major agencies of the government to promote the future of transportation and space exploration.

In addition to dozens of professional  publications,  l995 to 2005 Tyson  was a monthly essayist for Natural History Magazine under the title Universe.  
In 2004 Tyson was once again appointed by President Bush to serve on a nine member commission on the implementation of the United States Space Exploration Police dubbed  "The Moon Mars and beyond." Commission.

From 1995 to 2005, as an author and in addition to his  professional publications, Dr. Tyson continued to write for the public and  in 2012 released Space Chronicles Facing the Ultimate Frontier his tenth book and  perhaps his most interesting  because it contains every thought he has ever had on the past, the present and the future of space exploration.
